This one is always a classic for me, a great read every time. It’s the story of Evangeline Jenner and Viscount Sebastian St. Vincent. Evangeline is a stuttering wallflower who needs to escape her relatives before they try to steal the money she’ll inherit from her father, so she goes to notorious rake, Sebastian, in the middle of the night and proposes he marries her. She needs to get out from her family’s clutches and he needs her money.

It’s a fun story showing the two of them growing as individuals and together. She starts to gain confidence in herself and he learns that he’s worth something to himself and to her. Evie is such a sassy character and Sebastian is secretly such a sweetheart, who find their ways into each others hearts.
